
Personnel Specialists provide enlisted personnel with information and counseling about Navy jobs, opportunities for general education and training, and promotion requirements. They assist enlisted members' families with legal aid or reassignments in hardship situations. Personnel Specialists keep records up to date, prepare reports, type letters and maintain files.
Personnel Specialists:
Perform clerical and administration duties involved in maintaining personnel records, preparing reports and accomplishing accounting procedures
Counsel enlisted personnel concerning Navy ratings, training, advancement, educational opportunities, and the rights, benefits and advantages of a Navy career
Utilize and maintain current publications and directives pertaining to personnel administration and operate associated ADP equipment.
